What is a North Point Partner?

What is the deal with the video sermon? Do you ever have a live local preacher on Sundays?
We often use video as a means to bring relevant messages to our audience. As long as the video technique is meaningful and helpful in our mission to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, we will continue to use video messages for preaching and a local ministry staff for ministry. As a strategic partner with North Point Ministries, we will use the sermon portion of the North Point worship service a percentage of the time. At other times, the Harvest Church staff will present the sermons. The other aspects of the worship service will be "live" at every service.

Since you use video sermons of Andy Stanley from North Point, who is the pastor of Harvest Church?
Harvest Church is a strategic partner with North Point Ministries (NPM). That means that we have the same mission, strategy, values & beliefs as North Point Ministries but are a separate entity. Andy Stanley is the founder and senior pastor of North Point Ministries, which has multiple campuses: North Point Community Church, Buckhead Church, and Browns Bridge Community Church.  However, the senior pastor of Harvest Church is Jordan Clare. Jordan leads the staff of Harvest in its day-to-day operations and in discerning the ministry needs of those who attend Harvest and those who live in the community.

What does it mean that we are a "Strategic Partner" of Northpoint Ministries?

North Point Ministries is the parent organization of which North Point Community Church, Buckhead Church, Browns Bridge Community Church and several Strategic Partnership churches are a part. Harvest Church is a strategic partner of North Point Ministries. That means that we have the same mission, strategy, values and beliefs as North Point Ministries but are a separate entity. You can find out more about North Point Ministries here.

Does Harvest Church have adult Sunday school?
Instead of providing adult Sunday school classes on Sunday mornings in the church building, we provide small group environments that meet at a variety of times during the week in people's homes. We believe the small group is the best place for sustained life change to occur. In a small group, people study God's Word together and are in a small enough environment to discuss the issues and challenges of life. It's also where they pray and care for one another and where they are missed if they don't show up. We have two small group environments:

* Community groups are made up of five to six couples or five to eight individuals of the same gender. They are the places where people are personally encouraged and challenged in their relationship with God and each other.

* Starting Point is a 10-week small group discussion environment for those seeking, starting, or returning to a relationship with God.

The children meet with leaders who engage them in meaningful discussions and activities. UpStreet focuses on three core values: Faith - I can trust God no matter what; Friendship - I will treat others the way I want to be treated; and Wisdom - I can make the wise choice.
